The CM West conference is filling up fast! If you live on or near the West Coast (ahem … the best coast … ha!), this is the Charlotte Mason conference for you! I’ve gotten to go to CM West twice now, and both times it was wonderful. Come join Celeste Cruz, Jessica Severne, Virginia Lee Rogers, and Matt and Amber Vanderpol! Topics covered include keeping notebooks, nature study and object lessons, and scouting in a Mason education. Also contemplated are Education as a Life and Mother Culture, and there will be time as well for asking questions, nature journaling and hands-on demonstrations.

I’ve sung the glories of the speed of write before, but this time it’s just Scripture, my notebook, and my pencil — no Bible study helps required. What you see in the photos above is my first draft. My long term plan, if all goes well, is to write out one New Testament epistle for each of my children. First John is my personal favorite, so I’m starting with that.
